About Genise Johnson
Genise Johnson is an Illinois resident and a former employee of the Chicago Park District where she worked 15 years. Genise retired in 2015 to start her own company.
Genise is the owner and president of two emerging ministries: Open Door Outreach, a non-profit in Illinois that provides resources for under-served individuals and families, and At My Desk He Speaks, a book ministry that she uses to encourage and uplift.
Genise believes she is called to share the Gospel of Jesus through the word of God and through her story with those who do not know Him.
She is a mother of four, grandmother of nine, and the godmother and god-grandmother of many.

Our Mission
Our mission is to remove the stumbling blocks for those who are stuck in hopelessness. We aim to help others open their eyes of understanding to Jesus Christ. To restore hope, both natural and spiritual, providing free resources and outreach services for economically challenged individuals and families.
Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel/good news to the poor, He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted.
Our Vision
We aim to tell people about Jesus. We want to help others grow in any area they feel stuck. Since we all have felt stuck and needed the help and love of Jesus Christ we love being there to guide others toward the same healing.
Luke 4:18.
